Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress known for her roles in the movies Beta Saajan and Hum Hain Kun..! She first began her career as an actress during the 80s. The actress became popular for Tezaab, a film starring veteran actor Anil Kooor. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. Early on, as a girl growing up in the middle class of Mumbai, she started to dance. She ventured into acting as young and fought for several years because the majority of her first films were flops. Then, she discovered success in Indian film and climbed to the very top. After her marriage, she took a pause in her professional career. She returned later. In recent times, she was in a major part on the film Gulaab Gang. The film focused on the struggles of women in India. Dixit received the film eight Filmfare Awards out of the 15 she was up for nominations. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Her name is well-known for her social works as well.
